Emmanuel has recently joined NTE as a Broadband Support Engineer. Working towards a Level 3 Infrastructure Technician qualification, he provides 1stline broadband support to NTE’s Tech Support Team.
To reflect NTE’s growth, Emmanuel shadows senior members of the support team and works alongside another apprentice to deliver 1stline broadband technical support for customers. Emmanuel will learn how to implement and test new data services such as ASDL, VoIP, Ethernet and FTTC.
This is Emmanuel’s first full-time job since leaving education. His 12-month apprenticeship provides him with the opportunity to develop his skills, gain experience and progress his career.
Reflecting on his time at NTE so far Emmanuel says, “When I first started working at NTE I didn’t know what to expect. On my first day I couldn’t have been made more welcome here. This apprenticeship is my first job and it’s better than I imagined. This opportunity is allowing me to gain first-hand experience whilst working alongside people who have been in this profession for years. Even though I haven’t been here long I’ve been gaining new knowledge every day and I’m happy with my progress so far. I’m grateful for the opportunity given to me by everyone at NTE and can’t wait to see where my apprenticeship will take me.”
John Patterson, Director at NTE, comments on the new recruit, “We had a need to expand the Broadband Support team and after having enjoyed success with Liam Spencer as an apprentice it was only natural, we look to employ a second. Emmanuel joined the team a month ago and after completing his induction joined our team of first line support engineers. He is already delivering excellent customer service and we can see a bright future for Emmanuel.”
