In a recent update the Croatian Regulator has communicated the following:
- When obtaining a Croatian phone number, the customer is not purchasing or buying a Croatian phone number. The Customer is instead contracting to a telecommunication service which includes the use of a Croatian number.
- Such services are provided by a Croatian operator according to Croatian regulations and laws on electronic communications.
- When using a Croatian phone number, the user is obliged to comply with all Croatian laws and regulations. A link to the Croatian regulatory agency can be found here: https://www.hakom.hr/
- Numbers may be issued only after submission and validation of identity and location of residence in Croatia.
